A Nigerian Patient underwent  Hip replacement surgery.  Here is her story:

The emergence of the problem

A while ago, Ankiola Yusuf started feeling the pain and uneasiness in his right side of the hip, especially when he lays down. After finding no relief from this persisting pain, he consulted a doctor based in Nigeria. After a long investigation, he was symptomatic with avascular necrosis in the hip which prompted the obstruction in the movement of his hip.

Avascular necrosis is a medical condition in which there is the death of bone tissue when the blood supply is obstructed. The bone gets damaged from inside and the condition is also known as osteonecrosis.

After the revelation of his medical condition, he was recommended to undergo hip replacement surgery. An Appointment with the Doctor

After every formality has been furnished, there comes the application of a visa to visit India. His visa approval was sent to his email address within 72 hours. Finally, he landed in India and scheduled an appointment with Dr. IPS Oberoi, one of the most renowned orthopedic surgeons in India. He heard the whole plight of Akinola patiently and performed certain medical examinations. When all the investigation results are put forth on the table, he recommended Akinola; a unilateral hip replacement as the need of the hour.

Post that, a couple of pre-operative investigations have been carried out to know whether the patient is fit to go for this surgical procedure. Upon overcoming these bottlenecks, he was carried to undergo this surgery, which lasted for a couple of hours. Before getting discharged, he was kept in the hospital for two to three days.
