The Indian Government gave the tag of recognition to 27 centers for Cancer Treatment in India under the former program of National Cancer Control. The Government of India has laid the foundation for an exhaustive National level program for the control and treatment of cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and stroke in the year 2010 in numerous district sprawling across 21 States and 8 UTs of India.
Under the umbrella of this medical program with an underpinning of the Central government, all the recognized centers across the country will be entitled to avail of the financial aid with the denomination of 60 million to cater to the cancer treatment in India. As per the compiled data of GLOBOCAN, in the year of 2018, there were more than 11 lakhs reported new cancer cases in both genders. According to the same, there were more than seven lakhs confirmed deaths.
